Puppy A 6-week course that includes socialization, grooming tips, healthcare, and informal introduction to walking on leash, sit, stay, down, and come when called, for puppies 12 weeks to 6 months old.
Beginner This is a 6-week basic obedience class that focuses on basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come when called, and heeling. For dogs 6 months and older.
Advanced Beginner We will work on focus/attention, handling and footwork, basic novice ring exercises, rally exercises, heeling, sits, downs and stays. Lots of fun for you and your dog. Plus much more! Now is the time to give it a try! Pre-requisite for this class is previous beginner or family dog class experience or permission of the instructor.
AKC Canine Good Citizen Test

AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Program: The American Kennel Club's CGC program is designed to recognize dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The program stresses responsible dog ownership for owners and basic training and good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10 step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. Drafting Draft your dog. Teach your dog to pull a cart or wagon (drafting). In this course we will learn the basic drafting commands, introduce the equipment needed, (harness and cart), then put it all together. A list of resources will be available for all participants. Some basic obedience is needed for drafting/carting. Dogs of all sizes, breeds and age can learn to cart, however, it is best for the dog to be at least one year old before pulling any weight. Your dog must be in good physical condition to pull a cart of any weight. If you are not sure if your dog is able, please contact your vet. We will begin our first class inside, then we will have our classes outside. If you have questions, please contact the instructor.
Therapy Dog Preparation/Evaluation Pre-requisite: Dog/handler must have completed at least one 6-week beginner obedience class. Dog must be at least 1 year of age. Handler must be able to demonstrate he/she has control of the dog at all times.
Open, Utility Exercises Class is open to any dog that has passed beginner class, is under emotional control and is able to work off lead in a room with other dogs. Focus will be on open and utility exercises.
Rally: Beginner, Advance, Excellence

Rally is a fun sport. It is a course that is designed by the Rally judge and consists of sequenced numbered stations. Each Station has a sign that instructs the handler how to perform that skill. The dog and handler are scored on teamwork and how well they perform the stations. Unlimited communication from the handler to the dog is encouraged in Rally. Clapping and patting of their leg is also allowed. Beginners to Excellent teams will participate at their level. If you want to know more about Rally Obedience please visit www.akc.org or contact us. Conformation A hands-on class that offers training and handling your AKC-registered dog in the Breed Ring (dog shows). Hosted by Tri-City Kennel Club.
